Overview
This project involved migrating and extending a PrestaShop storefront using a custom child theme and reusable frontend modules, with a strong focus on maintainability and performance.
Theme Architecture
- Designed and implemented a custom child theme on top of the Classic theme.
- Built a clean header and layout system without modifying PrestaShop core.
- Ensured full upgrade compatibility with future PrestaShop versions.
Custom Modules
- Developed custom PrestaShop modules for dynamic homepage sections (hero blocks, content sections, FX rate widgets).
- Implemented modular, reusable Smarty templates.
- Integrated external data sources where required.
Production & Deployment
- Worked with large production databases and real customer data.
- Managed staging and production environments.
- Ensured SEO-safe URLs and asset handling.
